Why am I being charged in USD?

There are two possible reasons you are being charged in USD instead of CAD:

  1. USD currency was accidentally selected. You can select CAD (or another international option) in our menu. Please see the images below for where to find this on desktop or mobile. Note: Your currency must match your shipping address.
  2. Your shipping address is in the U.S., and therefore, you are required to check out in USD.

When shipping to the U.S., there are checkout restrictions that automatically change the currency to match the shipping address, not the billing address. So if someone ships to the U.S., the currency will switch to USD at checkout, even if their billing address is in Canada.

The limitation of currency being determined by the shipping destination is to meet requirements where the pricing must align with the market where the goods are being delivered, because of duties and taxes.

Unfortunately, before the recent tariff changes, there was more wiggle room regarding which currency is charged; however, because of duties, any orders shipping to the United States must be processed in USD so that we are able to be compliant with duty charges. Otherwise, we would not be able to ship to the U.S. at all at this time.

Otherwise, here are images showing you how to change your currency:
